And the search continues

Well as many of you know, my Mommy has been on an endless search for the right food for me since I was just a puppy. I have a very sensitive stomach as well as skin allergies so finding a good food for me has not been an easy task!
A brief history of my diet: as a puppy, I was on Nutro lamb and rice, after finding out that the chicken formula was making me throw up. After several months on the lamb and rice, I began vomitting and having daily diarrhea. The vet switched me to Duck and Sweet Potato, and Mommy chose the Natural Balance brand. I was good for a whole year on that, until the skin allergies started. So we switched to Vegetarian Natural Balance, again another good 6 months, but then the skin rashes came back. SO we have recently been using Avoderm Vegetarian. I thought that finally Mommy found the perfect food for me. A food for sensitive tummys AND skin allergies. Well, a few months later, and I am just pooping straight yellow liquid (the color of the kibble) Mommy is at her wits end!
She was chatting with Preston's Mommy and found out about The Honest Kitchen . She has decided to give it a try. It will be more work on Mommy's part, and it costs a lot of money, but she can't put a price on making sure I am healthy! BOL! So my first shipment will be delivered right to my door by Orlando Pet Pantry . How cool is that! Free delivery right to your house! I feel even more spoiled now! My first shipment will be of "Thrive." Wish me luck friends! Hopefully my bowels and skin allergies will be straightened out once and for all! If not, Mommy is just going to have to suck it up and cook for me every night from scratch! BOL!

Good luck with the new diet Bruschi. I hope it works out for you. How convenient to have it delivered. Wonder why so many dogs (and people) seem to have allergies these days. I'm on the lamb & rice food that you mentioned - so far, so good. Happy May Day Bruschi!! Woof, Tank

Hi Bruschi,

So sorry to hear about your ongoing food issue. I am a little piggy and can't imagine not being able to eat without getting sick. It must be awful for your mom too.

I hope the new food works for you.

Sorry you are having problems. I am wondering if Nutro is giving MR. Puggle problems? He eats the teeth cleaning biscuits. Remember awhile back i posted about him puking? I keep here about all these complaints about Nutra brand.

Hello, this is Jessie Ward with Animal Planet's DOGS 101.

We are currently in production on Season Two of DOGS 101, a series for Animal Planet. A DOG 101 is the television encyclopedia of dog breeds. Each episode explores the history, purpose, temperament, amazing accomplishments, and curious facts about the most popular dog breeds in the world. A crucial theme of the series is the powerful love, the intense emotional bond that forms between dogs and their humans.

We are looking for an uplifting human-interest story that is outside the norm to be featured on our upcoming season of DOGS 101 about the PUGGLE designer breed. These stories look beyond the basic show dog, breeder stories, or general therapy dogs and focus on amazing feats, talents, strengths, or the special relationships between a PUGGLE and its owner. The biggest challenge of this show is finding stories that are VISUALLY stimulating. Newspaper stories are great but we need to show the dogs in action when doing these types of shows!

As a person who is passionate about the PUGGLE breed, do know of anyone who owns a PUGGLE that we might want to contact to see if they would be a good fit on our programming because they have an amazing story? Any contact information you could provide me with today would be greatly appreciated. The more contacts the merrier!

I would also like to hear more about Bruschi's food issues. Maybe this would be a good story.

I'm sorry that you have allergies Bruschi. I get itchy skin too though. My Ma and Pa give me Omega3 supplements and that really helps me! My Vet said it was good for me, so maybe ask your vet??
