Seven? Really??

Well, I have to report that I have been under the weather since Friday. I seem to be having some bowel troubles and I am waking up every hour in the middle of the night to have liquid poops. We are all very tired and although I am not eating, the poops continue to come out! So Daddy took me to the vet today and he put me on an antibiotic and hopefully that will clear it up.

BUT in other exciting news.......I got weighed today and I am down to 30.5 lbs! If you remember back in October at my annual appointment, I weighed in at 37.5!
From a hefty 37.5 to a svelte 30.5! All this exercising has paid off!
Of course, I am probably down a pound or two due to the liquid poops, but still.....I'm finally losing weight!

Good Bye Tyson

Well today is the day that Tyson will be leaving us. I am sad to report that after much effort, him and Bruschi are just not getting along. The fighting was getting so bad I swear, it sounded like I was running a dog fighting ring! So for the safety of both Bruschi and Tyson, it is best that we part ways and send him off to another foster home. I feel terrible, as he just keeps bouncing around and I think has gotten quite a bad reputation with the rescue, but he is truly not a bad dog at all!! I am confident that he WILL find a great forever home! I am really going to miss him, despite all the frustration and stress he brought into my life, LOL. I will probably cry when I say my good-byes to him, as he did become my little buddy and followed me everywhere I went. Sigh.......so long Tyson! I am glad we could give you a nice home, even if only for a short while.

Puggle Update

Can you even believe it? They are snuggling together on my husband's lap today!!!!!
Maybe all it took was a few days of them getting adjusted to each other after all!
Fingers crossed,(and paws crossed) that this works!
Yesterday afternoon I got them to both lay on the carpet and chew rawhide bones together and they only had a few incidents during the day of going after each other.
I am starting to think that I am the problem. Bruschi is a total mama's boy and Tyson has taken quite a liking to me and follows me everywhere! I think that Bruschi seeing Tyson always being around me is the trigger to Bruschi's jealousy!
I just have to keep doing what I'm doing, which is put Bruschi first, continue doing everything with him first, and slowly but surely Tyson should understand his role!

Thanks to everyone for all your words of advice, support and encouragement! :)

2 puggles not getting along....help!

Bruschi's mom here. Ok so fostering Tyson is NOT going as planned. Bruschi and him are now fighting every chance they get. Bruschi is not, and has never been an alpha dog. He's the most calm and passive dog and loves to play with all dogs. The first night, Tyson was all over Bruschi and Bruschi literally laid there and just whimpered and shook. By day 2, Bruschi had apparently had enough and actually started snapping and snarling at Tyson! Bruschi has never in his life even growled at another dog, let alone show teeth and snarl!! Well today is Day 3, and it's only getting worse. Every time the 2 of them are in the same room, they go at it and I have to break them up and put them in opposite sides of the house. It is EXHAUSTING! I don't know what to do to get them to get along, and I am not going to let them fight it out in my living room. Tyson has been shuffled from one foster home to the next, and he is SUCH a good dog, and wants someone to love him. That's very evident. But he is trying to claim me.....and everytime he comes near me, Bruschi goes after him. It's putting me in a difficult situation and I am not sure what to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! Christen, Bruschi's Mom

Meet Tyson!

Well Tyson is here! I am not sure how I am feeling about him. He is one rambunctious little puggle puppy! He is a tri-color, and has some cool markings on him. He likes alot of the same things I like....my stuffies......my bones.......my food! Mommy had to keep him out of my food dish!

As you can see, he is enjoying one of my rawhide bones!

I have to admit, I am a bit afraid of him. I'm what they call a "wussy dog" and Tyson picked right up on my wussy vibe and spent the first 4 hours trying to hump me!

I had to keep hiding under the table to get away from him!

Finally Daddy stepped in and pulled a Cesar Milan on him! Yeah Daddy you tell him to leave me alone!

Getting us together in a picture was not easy but here we are. Mommy says I look really sad. I do feel sad....I hope I am not being replaced! Mommy keeps kissing me and telling me I'm number one and always will be. I just hope he stops humping me! I'm not into that stuff! BOL

Tomorrow is the Big Day

Well, there has been all this talk around my house the past two weeks about "foster" and "Tyson" and I had no idea what they were talking about . So tonight Mommy sat me down and informed me that tomorrow we are getting a foster puppy named Tyson! Mommy said he isn't going to live with us permanently but we are going to help him find his forever home! He is a puggle about 8 months old and his owners surrendered him to the Pug Rescue of Florida group. I know.....who would surrender a puggle right?
So Tyson deserves a second chance and we are going to help him!
Stay tuned for pictures of him! I can't wait to meet him! I am even going to share my stuffies with him! I sure hope he likes me! Do you think I am going to be a good foster brother?

A puggle needs his tan

Now this is living! It was finally Florida weather here this past weekend so Mommy and I headed out to the backyard to get some sun! I enjoy the warm sun, and listening to all the birdies chirping, and seeing boats go by on the lake. If you look to the far end of the picture, you can see the lake. You'll have to excuse Mommy's big foot for blocking the view! BOL

Ok it's getting hot Mom....I'm starting to sweat......

I found the one patch of shade in the yard.......thank goodness! Boy it sure is warm out today!
But it sure beats that cold we've had!

I also have some exciting new to report, but I will save that for later in the week! Be sure to check back!
