Hi Furiends. I am so embarassed about what I am about to tell you but Mommy says we must blog about it and see if anyone has any thoughts on why it happened. Well.....here it goes.........
Last night, Mommy put Maggie in her crate in the other room when it was bed time, and then she put me up on the big bed (where I always sleep), and while she went to brush her teeth, I peed all over the bed! I don't know why I did it, I really don't! But I peed A LOT and then I jumped off the bed just as Mommy saw what I did! She was not happy, because she was really tired and now she had to spend hours up washing everything! She didn't yell at me because she knew something must be wrong. I haven't peed in the house since April of 2oo7!!! Mommy wonders if this is my way of letting her know I don't like a second doggy living with us? Or maybe an attention getter? But what she can't figure out is why I would pee on my own bed (the big human bed) ? Can anyone help us figure this out? I feel terrible about it. I sulked all night in utter shame! And Mommy is really worried about me!

Just a thought....you aren't happy about something! Beth said she had a cat that would do that if she was gone over night somewhere. How else can you say you are upset? Suppose you could write her a note.... Now your mommy has to figure out what is different from before and try to fix it....don't feel bad....
Your poor mommy! My mom had a friend with a poodle who would pee on my friend's PILLOW whenever he brought his girlfriend over to spend the night.
My friend had to buy a lot of pillows....
Has Maggie ever been on the bed even when it wasn't night-time?
Nope....Maggie has NEVER been on the bed! Mommy did some reading online and it sounds like I am just trying to protect my domain.....as I am fearful she is taking over, so I wanted to be sure to claim my spot!
Not that it makes it ok...but at least it makes sense
Bruschi, has you had the dreaded newters? Cos that might be making you mark things if you hasn't having a girl about.
I dunno. Maybe you has a slight bladder infection or something and just couldn't help it?

no worry, bruschi and mommy. we all know bruschi didn't mean to do that. It happens. it could be stress but sometimes, it happens for no reason.
(human pups do that too...)

Hi Bruschi,
I was just getting caught up on your blog, reading about Maggie stealing your toys. I think maybe you just wanted to let her know that the big bed and your mom were off limits. We hope Maggie got the message so you don't have to say it again!

Duke used to pee randomly when we'd come home from being on vacation and made him stay somewhere else. He'd get really mad at us and just go. I think it's probably a spite pee. Or he drank ALOT of water :)
Hi. I'm a puggle, too. I am two years old. Last June, for no reason, I, too, started "leaking". My mom woke up with me on the wet human bed. $1,500 later and four vets, there was never a decision about why I leak. I only do it on rare occassions, generally when I sleep very, very deeply and often on Pawpa's lap. My mom changed my food to EVO, which is all chemical free, and it seemed to help a great deal. It was suggested that it could be caused by 1. lack of testorone from being fixed and/or 2 coming from a puppy mill, where my mother may have had a weak bladder. Most recent blood work still shows no problems, but I leaked twice last month. This isn't a behavior problem, it is a medical problem, because I only do it when I am very deeply asleep. Hope this helps your human.
Bruschi,
Don't feel too ashamed, my buddy Nigel peed all over the house for 3 weeks straight after his parents got back from a 2 week vacation. I think it was his way of telling his Mommy he was upset. Do you really not like Maggie?
Your poor Mommy!

Aww! Poor Bruschi! No problem. Beds and Bedding clean up. Well I have been having a problem with leaking for a while. And when I was a little pup I peed right on human Granny and human Papa's bed. (Snicker, Snicker!) Human Granny has been researching this problem for a while. The vet says I was fixed too early, Hmmmm! The show 'It me or the dog' says it is marking because of stress. The books says it is a hormone problem. I don't leak too much but the other day I peed all over human Papa's pillow in his computer chair. I guess they really love me cuz human Granny never yells at me. Or my human Mom doesn't when I get it on her new pants. Love overcomes all things I guess, even a little pee. Have a Barking Great day!
